Just a quick post with a couple things to share.

Hello.  It's a gorgeous day here in Pittsburgh.  The sun is shinning so bright, and the birds are just singing away. 

Alex and Cameron received this very cute Easter card from my friend and club member Linda.  She is so thoughtful to think of the boys during the Holidays.  She sent them an adorable Frankenstein card for Halloween too.  Thank you Linda for thinking of them.  It was too cute not to share with you all. 

 

I also wanted to share my finished invitation for Cameron's Communion.  I love how tailored and clean it looks.  I used Dazzling Diamonds on the cross and them embossed..ahh, I think it's so pretty.  I also put just a rhinestone on a couple too.  I couldn't decided which I liked beter.  I asked Cameron and he suggested we send both.  So, that's what we did.

Did you notice that sparkle from the sun's reflection, it's so incredibly pretty in person.  We're heading out of town for Easter, so I won't be posting until Monday.

Getting ready for Cameron's Big Day!

Yes, this is my 2nd post today.  I needed to pay attention to my sweet little Alex who is home from school today with a little bug.  Not sure if it's allergies or the start of a yucky cold.  If it is allergies hopefully the snow we got last night will kill off all the gunk out there.  Yes, it snowed here..isn't that depressing?

Anyway,  I wanted to share with you some pictures that I took of Cameron at his Spiritual Retreat he took to help him prepare for his First Holy Communion that he'll be making the first weekend of May.  He really had a wonderful time, and I had a wonderful time watching him through out the day.

They had a full day planned for the children.  They made bread, watched a very touching movie called Nonna's Bread, read stories, had interactive play, and they even had the opportunity to make their banners that will sit on their families pew at church.  It was such a wonderful day that I wanted to share it with all of you.

Cameron is the cutie with the glasses.  He's having lunch, they were very happy they were having pizza, some even had 3rds.

 

Ahhh, breadmaking.  Yes, mommy had a fun time baking 25 loaves of bread after the retreat at home.  :0)

 

He's a perfectionist, can you tell?  His banner will hang at our "family" pew at church.

Finally, a picture of Cameron and me at the end of the day. 

 It's amazing to see how grown up he's becoming.  David and I are so blessed to have such wonderful sons.  I have to share one thing that Cameron said during their Interactive Play.  They had the children broken down into groups of  12.  They each had to share one gift that God has given each of them.  Some of the children said things like art, or good at baseball, or they're good at watching their brother..but Cameron said that God gave him a gift of respect.  He always tries to be very respectful to others.  Yes, I almost got teary eyed!! 

As my dear friend Roxy says...ok, now go HUG THE ONES YOU LOVE.  I sure do!!

  Hello Everybody,

Since my weekend get-a-way at the end of March, it seems there hasn't been enough hours in the day.  I have lots, and lots to share, so please just grab your coffee or tea and hang out with me while I share some great projects, some great Stampin' UP! specials and of course some great upcoming classes that I'll soon be offering.
 
I first wanted to say thank you to all of you that placed online orders while I was in Columbiana at the end of March.  For all of you that placed online orders thru March 31st, I'll be getting your kits finished up today and in the mail tomorrow.  If you have any questions with the assembly, please let me know and I'll be happy to help.  I had a wonderful time while I was away, didn't get a whole lot finished (that's so typical for me..such a gabber), but met some amazingly fun, and talented women.  We had a super fun group at our table (Shelly, Lisa, Terry, Nette, Stacy, Barb and Trish).  Yes, even a few of us pulled all nighters on Friday and didn't go to bed until wee hours into Sunday a.m.  Crazy, isn't it?  I also some more fellow Pittsburghers..Ellen, and Marybeth.   Thank you to Amy, Leith and Ursilia for such generous orders, I'm very excited to see how much you all love your new products I can't wait to see you all again soon.  Just a little note for all of you that I met in Ohio that liked the idea of scrapping on a canvas, I'm in the process of finishing up a painted canvas for Mother's Day.  I'll be offering this as a class at the end of April, so stay tuned.  I wanted to share some pictures of the weekend, thanks to all of you that made my weekend so much fun!  Oh ya, the best part..when I got home David and I had an evening to ourselves.  We went out to a nice dinner and watched a movie..ahh, what a great way to end the weekend. Ok, next on to some projects that I've been wanting to share. 
 
Project #1: I am using the Top Note Die yet again!! I posted a very feminine card and matching envelope before I left for Ohio, and said I'd make another card and matching envelope using a more masculine touch.  Well, here is my creation of the same card with a more manly touch.  

Products Used:  Stampin' UP! Designer Series Paper Parisian Breeze.  It's FABULOUS.  It has a bit of texture and a much sturdier weight than the regular Designer Series Paper.  I used the same paper to make the matching envelope as well.  Of course with a Top Note address label. I love that look. I also used, the SU Scalloped Circle, 1 1/4" Circle, 1 3/8" Circle, Antique eyelets, and Baja Breeze Ribbon.  The "For You" stamp is from Hero Arts.  I'm sending this to my brother in law for his birthday. I hope he likes it!

Project #2: This is a little gift that I was selling on my Etsy site (see sidebar).  It was purchased and I wanted to share some better pictures before I parted with this little cutie.  It makes for a great hostess gift or teachers gift.  Included in the tin is a notepad that I created from scratch, it's not altered.  I also made a matching pen to go along with it.  There is also a mini stamp included.  The tin is decorated with Rub-On's.  I am selling these for $8.00 + $3.00 shipping. if you're interested in one, please feel free to send me an email and I'll fill orders as their received.  You can contact me at tj925silver@hotmail.com.

Project #3: This is a pocket calendar that I will be sent to a friend.  It's  2-year pocket planner so it's good thru Dec. 2010.  I thought it looked so cute altered with some fancy Designer Paper and the Felt Fussion Flowers.
